Rabat - A combat unit of the Royal Marine which was operating in the Mediterranean caught and seized, on Saturday at 3.50 a.m., 1,180 kg of Chira off Oued Laou, said a statement by the general staff of the royal armed forces (FAR).
The catch happened after chasing two large suspicious inflatable boats, spotted by one of the Royal Marine's surveillance radar stations, said the same source.
The drug was handed to the local authorities of Tetouan to implement the legal procedure in force, it added.
