Marrakech - Twenty-four members of security forces were injured on Tuesday in Marrakech, following vandalism acts perpetrated by a group of students at the Marrakech University, local authorities said.
"A group of students held, Tuesday, an unauthorized rally from the campus towards the university presidency, to protest against the delay in the payment of scholarships," local authorities pointed out.
The demonstrators threw stones at security forces and perpetrated acts of vandalism against some facilities of the university despite the intervention of public authorities, who informed them that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research will pay all scholarships next Thursday.
Some students have been arrested for further investigations.
