The 31st Ordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU), which ended Monday evening in Nouakchott, approved the request of the Kingdom of Morocco to join the Consultative Group of Foreign ministers on the institutional reform of the Union, and thus decided to increase the number of member States of this group from the current 15 to 20.
The 31st Ordinary Summit of the AU also decided to hold an extraordinary summit on the institutional reform process of the African Union next November (17-18).
