Algeria’s non-hydrocarbon exports, mainly constituted of oil products, soared by 107% last February totaling $197 million, Algerian customs said on Wednesday.

In spite of "remarkable improvement," these exports value is still incremental, accounting for only 3.15% of the overall volume of Algeria exports which remain dominated by hydrocarbons (96.85%), according to the provisional figures of the Customs’ National Centres of Statistics (Cnis).
The main products exported are constituted of hydrocarbon derivatives and food-products; mainly oils and products from tar distillation, which recorded an increase of 269.8% to reach $37.98 million in February 2013 against $10.27 million in the same month 2012, CNIS said.
