Argentinean Journalist Deems Sweden's Position on Sahara conflict Historic mistake', Stupid Approach'

Le Vendredi 2 Octobre modifié le Mardi 30 Novembre

Buenos Aires - Swedish government's project to recognize a puppet regime is "a historic mistake" and a "stupid approach", which goes against logic, wisdom and peace efforts made by Morocco to keep peace and security in an unstable region, Argentinean journalist Juan Cruz Castineiras said.
The journalist also noted that the Swedish government's decision is an irresponsible act, which can add fuel to the fire in the Maghreb region, as well as undermine Morocco's efforts to combat terrorism in all its forms.

"Unfortunately, contrary to other European countries, Sweden takes this position and recognises a non-viable puppet regime", the expert in political and diplomatic issues pointed out, stressing that countries, which recognised this entity during Cold War, have reviewed their position by freezing or withdrawing their recognition afterwards.

Juan Cruz Castineiras added that in case of recognition of the so-called RASD Stockholm will have chosen to undermine the UN-led settlement process of the long-standing Sahara issue.
