Casablanca: Seizure of 1.2 kg of Cocaine Carried by Malian, Police

Rabat - The total quantity of cocaine seized from a 47-year-old Malian national reached 1,270 grams, the Casablanca police services said on Tuesday. The suspect was arrested on January 24 by the security services operating at Mohammed V international airport, upon his arrival on a flight from Conakry, for his alleged involvement in a cocaine trafficking case, said the National Police (DGSN) in a press release, adding that the suspect was put under medical surveillance at the Ibn Rochd University Hospital Center to extract the drug, filling 75 capsules, from his intestines.

The suspect was remanded in police custody to complete the investigation carried out under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office to shed light on this case, the statement concluded.
