Casablanca: Sub-Saharan National Arrested for Assault and Battery Resulting in Death, Police

Rabat - Judicial police of the Aïn Chock police district in Casablanca arrested, on Sunday, a Sub-Saharan national for his alleged involvement in a case of assault and battery leading to death. Preliminary data from the investigation show that the suspect had a conflict with the victim, of Moroccan nationality, owner of a house where the suspect rented a room, said Monday a statement from the national police (DGSN), adding that he struck the victim with a vase on the head, which resulted in his immediate death. The 28-year-old suspect was arrested at the crime scene, the same source said. It added that the suspect was remanded in police custody to complete the investigation carried out under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office.
