Development of Rights Indicators on Agenda of Working Visit by Moroccan Delegation to Council of Europe

Rabat - A delegation comprising representatives of the various government departments, regional councils and the public prosecutor's office is conducting a working visit to Strasbourg on Feb 26-28 to discuss experiences and best practices in the development of human rights indicators, within the framework of a cooperation partnership with the Council of Europe.

This visit, which touches on the "Council of Europe benchmarks and best practices in the protection of Human Rights", aims to build the capacities of the participants in the development of the indicators in relation to action plans for human rights, said a press release from the Ministry of State for Human Rights and relations with Parliament. The event is also about sharing experiences in the field with international experts and representatives of European countries, the statement added. This visit, which was marked by the participation of the Kingdom's Consul General in Strasbourg Khalid Afkir, is part of a series of workshops organized in Rabat on human rights indicators.
