Dubai - The Salé Sports Association (ASS) edged Thursday the Emirati national team (85-80) to advance to the semi-finals of the Dubai International Basketball Championship. In the group stage, the Moroccan side had defeated the Union of Alexandria (88-87), the American University of Dubai (91-84) and Lebanese Hoops (88-84) before losing to Lebanese Al-Riyadi and Syrian Wathba.
The tournament brings together 11 teams representing the African and Asian continents. AS Salé won the 2017 edition of this international competition.
