Geneva - The Ebola epidemic death toll was heavy in Western Africa and reached 7,518 out of the 19,340 declared contamination cases, according to a report on Monday by the World Health Organization (WHO).
There are 2,556 deadly cases in Sierra Leone, 3,376 in Liberia and 1,586 in Guinea, according to the figures released by the WHO which also confirmed the existence of 7,533 deadly cases worldwide.
The death toll rose by 145 and the number of infections by 309 since Dec. 20, the date of issuing the latest report by the organization.
