The Emirate of Qatar had offered the former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, 57,the leadership of a private equity fund worth € 500 million, intended to invest in projects in Morocco, Spain and Brazil.
According to the British business newspaper The Financial Times, Qatar has chosen the former French president, for his contacts with the highest levels in Morocco with his address book and also his strong relationships with Madrid and Brasilia.
He will also be sought by the wealthy regime in Doha, to help acquire strategic assets in France, operations which are increasingly difficult as the r suspicions regarding the tiny emirate among the socialists grow .
