Mohammedia - Four workers were killed Sunday when a scaffolding structure collapsed at the thermal power plant in Mohammedia, Morocco's state power utility ONEE said.
The accident occurred when five workers of a company specialized in metal construction and boiler making were fixing the metal canister of a chimney of the Unit 2 of the plant, ONEE said in a statement.
"The scaffolding structure collapsed, killing three people on the spot," the same source pointed out, adding that the fourth victim succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the causes of this unfortunate accident.
