Government Council Examines Bill on Morocco-Turkmenistan Cooperation Agreement

Rabat - Bill N° 11.20 approving an agreement on commercial, economic, technical, scientific and cultural cooperation between the government of the Kingdom of Morocco and the government of Turkmenistan, has been presented to the Government Council, which convened on Thursday in Rabat under the chairmanship of Head of Government Saad Dine El Otmani.

This agreement, signed on September 23, 2019 in Ashgabat between Morocco and Turkmenistan, and presented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries in the commercial, economic, scientific, technical and cultural fields on a permanent and win-win basis, said Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, government spokesman El Hassan Abyaba, in a press release read at the end of the meeting. Under the provisions of this Agreement, the parties will work towards the creation of a joint committee tasked with coordinating the activities of the ministries, administrations and organizations of the contracting parties in order to establish and monitor the implementation of draft bilateral cooperation agreements in the said fields, he added.
