HCP figures show improvement of Moroccan families' purchasing power, head of Govt
Rabat - Head of government Abdelilah Benkirane said, on Tuesday, that figures of the high planning commission (HCP) mirror the improvement of Moroccan families' purchasing power.

Answering a question at the house of representatives during the monthly session on general policy, Benkirane said that the purchasing power of Moroccan families posted a rise of 3.7% between 2012 and 2013 which is due to the increase of households' final registered consumption (+5.8) and controlling inflation (1.9) during the same period.

He recalled that the change in inflation index is due to the increase in foodstuff (+2.4) and non-food products (1.5).

By the end of Sept. 2014, Benkirane explained that the prices index posted a rise of 0.2 compared to the same period a year before, adding that among the factors that show the improvement of lifestyle is the change in consumption modes.
