Rabat - The Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ), an offshoot of Morocco's domestic intelligence agency (DGST), arrested on Wednesday at Casa-Voyageurs train station, an individual in possession of 2,997 psychotropic pills.
According to a BCIJ statement to MAP, this operation is part of efforts by the DGST to preserve security, fight crime under all its forms and face illegal trafficking of psychotropic pills, one of the main reasons behind youth delinquency and crime upsurge.
The investigations are under way, under the supervision of the public prosecutor's department, to identify the culprit's associates, it said.
