Paris - The Industrial Development Fund (FDI), an accompanying tool of the 2014-2020 National Plan of industrial development will be operational in early 2015, said minister of industry, trade, investment, and digital economy, Moulay Hafid Elalamy.
FDI, which is "an accompanying mechanism with much more important and more flexible funding capacities", will be included in the next Finance Bill, to be operational in early 2015, the minister said in an interview published Wednesday by the website of French weekly, "L'Usine Nouvelle". The new development fund, a first of its kind in Morocco, will provide grants and will mobilize 3 billion dirhams per year, i.e. ê 21 billion over 7 years, the minister said, adding that it will help foreign and domestic investors according to the Charter of the investment that will be renovated.
