Oued Eddahab - A man, who was attempting to storm a roadblock, east of Bir Anzarane, southern Morocco, was shot dead by security forces, authorities at the Oued-Eddahab-Lagouira region said.

The source pointed out that two 4X4 vehicles tried this Saturday to force their way through the Bgadri roadblock, not heeding the usual warnings, which led the security forces to use their firearms.
One of the passengers was fatally injured.
The driver of one of the vehicles succeeded in fleeing with the dead body which he subsequently abandoned at some 140 km south of Laayoune, the source explained.
The other vehicle was caught by the security forces which found over 2 tons of chira (cannabis resin) and a satellite phone set.
An investigation was opened under the supervision of the general prosecutor's office.
