Marrakech - A new wholesale fish market was launched on Wednesday in the city of Marrakech.

The 3-ha facility, funded by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) for a sum of 93 million dirhams, was inaugurated by Aziz Akhnouch, Agriculture and Marine Fisheries Minister.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Vice President of the MCC, Paul Weinbereger, and Mark Green, CEO of Global Development Initiative.
The wholesale fish market project is part of the efforts aiming to promote consumption and marketing of fish at the domestic market.
