The African Union (AU) Summit, which was recently held in Nouakchott, provided fundamental clarifications on the Union's role in the Moroccan Sahara issue, namely to support the efforts of the United Nations, said minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita.
This role is limited to that: there is no process to develop or initiative to launch, Bourita said in an interview published by the international weekly "Jeune Afrique".
