Geneva - The Moroccan magistrate Saadia Belmir has been re-elected member of the UN Committee against Torture, following a vote in Geneva on Tuesday at the opening of the autumn session.
Ms. Belmir received 100 votes of the 139 expressed at the voting session of the representatives of the States parties to the International Convention against Torture.
Moroccan jurist has seat in this body of the United Nations since her first election in November 2005.
