Madrid - Moroccans continue to be the first non-EU workers affiliated to the social security in Spain, according to official figures published Thursday in Madrid.

A total of 197,775 Moroccans are affiliated to social security in Spain at the end of May 2013, according the Spanish ministry of employment and social security, which published the statistics.
Moroccans are followed by Ecuadorians with 99,130 ??people, Chinese (87,543), and Bolivians with 78,890, the source added.
The job market in Spain recorded, in May, a 2 pc rise in the number of migrant workers enrolled in the social security regime compared to April.
Of the total of foreigners with a residence in Spain, 49.03 pc are from the European Community and 50.97 pc are from countries outside the EU.
