Rabat - Morocco harvested 22.1 million quintals of wheat in the first three months of 2014, the State grain agency ONICL, said today.
Morocco's imports of wheat reached 44.4 million quintals in the first three months 2014, the Rabat-based agency said, adding that the North African country imported mainly from France (31 percent), Brazil (24 percent), Canada (13 percent) Argentina (11 percent) and Germany (9 percent).
Since the start of the 2013-2014 farming season, the industrial processing of wheat has reached 58.9 million quintals, the same level compared to the same period in the previous season, the same source added.
