Morocco, Mauritania Discuss in Nouakchott Means to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Nouakchott - Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans abroad, Nasser Bourita, held talks Wednesday in Nouakchott with Mauritanian Prime Minister, Ismail Bedde Cheikh Sidiya, and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed. These meetings, which were attended by Morocco’s ambassador to Mauritania, Hamid Chebbar, focused on the means to further develop relations of cooperation between the two countries in all areas.

Speaking to reporters, the Mauritanian top diplomat commended the “unique” relations between the two countries which are expected to develop further in the future. After stressing that these relations are at their very best, he recalled that the two countries and peoples are bound by longstanding ties.

The Mauritanian official underlined, on this occasion, the excellent relations between HM King Mohammed VI and President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani. During his visit to Mauritania, Bourita was received in by the Mauritanian head of state.
