Rabat - Morocco is an important transit country for migrants and it should receive strong support from Europe, said, Thursday in Rabat, speaker of the Flemish Parliament Jan Peumans.
Morocco, which is a partner country of Europe, deserves more solidarity from all the countries of the continent to handle the problems related to migration, Peumans told the press after his talks with minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita.
The meeting between the two officials was also an opportunity to examine ways of strengthening cooperation in all areas between Morocco and Belgium and to review the priority issues on the diplomatic agendas of the two countries.
