Rabat - Chairman of the National Council for Human Rights (CNDH), Driss El Yazami said, Saturday in Rabat, that Morocco has one of the most active civil societies in the Arab world thanks to the momentum of the new Constitution.
El Yazami who was speaking at a discussion meeting on the current situation in Morocco and the Arab world, organized by the Arab Research Human Studies Scientific Center said the number of active associations in Morocco exceeds 50,000. Thanks to the dynamic of civil society, several issues were put on the agenda, such as the situation of women, the prohibition of the employment of girls as maids, child marriage, and the freedom of the press.
