Morocco to Build 16 New Wastewater Treatment Plants in 2015
Casablanca - Morocco will build sixteen new wastewater treatment plants in 2015 for a total budget of 824 million dirhams, Morocco's delegate-minister for environment, Hakima El Haite, said Wednesday. 

El Haite, who presented the 2014 report and the 2015 action plan of her department, said the current year has seen a steady pace of achievement of environmental upgrading programs at the national level.

In this regard, she noted that five wastewater treatment plants have been built for a total budget of 687 million dirhams and 12 others have been launched this year for a budget of nearly 1.2 billion dirhams, within the framework of the national sanitation program.

She also noted that two landfill and household waste recycling centers have been built for at a budget of 76 million dirhams and 11 others have been launched this year for a total budget of 269 million dirhams.
