Marrakech - Total overnight stays in tourist accommodation establishments in the city of Marrakech rose by 7% by the end of October, 2019, compared to the same period a year earlier, according to the Regional Tourism Council. The number of overnight stays amounted to 7.069.931 in the first ten months of the year, the source pointed out in a release.
Hotel occupancy has reached 65% against 60% one year earlier, while the average length of stay was three overnights, which corresponds to the same number in October 2018. For the month of October, 2019, overnight stays totalled 798,946, up by 4% compared to the same period in last year.
The occupancy rate reached 72% in October, against 68% one year earlier, the source added.
