Joint security services in the capital of Algerian gas at Hassi R'Mal in Laghouat (southern Algeria), tightened the check points near the oil companies, oil and gas fields located in the industrial city, and intensified security operations near the second most important industrial area in the country.

This action reported by Echorouk follows the suicide attack on the Gendarmerie base at Ouargla and the discovery some months ago of ground to air missiles buried near the gas fields at In Amenas. Algeria has always maintained the tightest security around its oil and gas fields which are located in the deserts of Southern Algeria.
