“What is happening in Sahel countries and outside the Algerian borders won’t have any impact on the Algerian Saharan tourism,” Hadj Said underlined in an interview with APS.

The Algerian Saharan tourism is a product that “no one can compete because of its potentialities,” stressed Hadj Said, adding that a “high priority” is given to the tourist product, particularly in the National Toursim Development Plan (SDAT).

Hadj Said underlined that Algeria in general and the south of the country in particular have “rich and extraordinary” tourist sites, adding that tourist destinations shouldn’t be limited only to Hoggar and Tassili regions.

He emphasized the need to encourage and promote the national tourism, especially Algeria’s southern regions.
