Three trade unions plan series of demos and strikes in May
Rabat - Three Moroccan trade unions announced a series of protests for the month of May, including strikes and joint labor demos, saying they will make of the month of May a month of protests.

The Moroccan Labor Union (UMT), the Democratic Labor Confederation (CDT) and the Democratic Labor Federation (FDT) explained that following meetings they held in Casablanca, they decided to observe strikes, hold demos and file a complaint against the government at the International Labor Organization for "non-respect of the Convention N.98 Right to Organise and Collective Bargaining Convention and Convention N.144 on Tripartite consultation".

They also castigated "the government's intransigence and refusal to interact with the Moroccan labor class fair and legitimate claims", before urging for urgent, earnest and responsible negotiations.
