Istanbul - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan approved, on Friday, a transition cabinet proposed by Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Erdogan's office said in a statement.
The interim government is expected to see the departure of high-profile figures including Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan but with no major changes in policy, senior officials said.
Davutoglu is expected later to give further details on the cabinet, whose formation follows his AK Party's failure to find a coalition partner after losing its parliamentary majority in June 7 election.
