UN Secretary General welcomes 'progress' in Libyan peace talks
Kuwait - UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said, on Tuesday in Kuwait, that the Libyan factions taking part in the UN-led peace talks in Skhirate (outskirts of Rabat) are making "encouraging progress".

The UN Secretary General made the remark during a joint press conference with Kuwait's Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Foreign Minister Sabah Al Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah at the end of the third conference of international donors for Syria.

In this respect, the UN chief voiced hopes to see steady progress in the upcoming round of political talks with a view of finding a political solution to the crisis in Libya.

Concerning aid for Syria, Ban Ki-moon said that 3.8 billion dollars has been raised by donors for Syria.
