El Salvador: Moroccan Embassy Chargé D'Affaires Holds Talks with San Salvador Mayor

During this meeting, both parties highlighted the dynamics that mark the relations between the two countries, especially following the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, to El Salvador in June 2019, and the Central American country's withdrawal of the recognition of the so-called "sadr".
According to the Moroccan representation in El Salvador, the two officials also discussed the possibility of establishing a partnership between the capital of El Salvador and Moroccan cities with a view to strengthening bilateral decentralized cooperation, through the exchange of expertise, twinning of cities and cultural activities.
On this occasion, the mayor of San Salvador expressed his desire to pay a working visit to Morocco, adding that the city hall puts at the disposal of the embassy of the Kingdom spaces of the city for the organization of cultural and artistic activities.
He also invited the Moroccan representation in San Salvador to participate in all the activities organized by the city hall to make known, to Salvadorans, the particularities of the Kingdom.
The Chargé d'affaires of the Moroccan embassy in El Salvador, Brahim Badi, held talks with the Mayor of San Salvador, Mario Duran, as part of strengthening decentralized cooperation.
