Morocco is favourable for a task force in Syria

A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, echoed yesterday by the MAP, ensures that the kingdom "followed with dismay the horrific crimes recently committed in the region Ghouta , a suburb of Damascus that left thousands dead and injured ".

 

Rabat holds Bachar Al-Aassad' regime responsable for the "horrible crime conducted with internationally banned chemical weapons" in Ghouta.

 

At the same time, the Moroccan representative to the Arab League in Cairo , voted in favor of a resolution to stop the "genocide carried out by the Syrian regime for more than two years."

 

Besides, the relations between Rabat and Damascus have never been really good.

 

The diplomatic representation of Morocco in Damascus  was attacked in November 2011 and since the outbreak of the war in Syria, the kingdom, as in the case of Libya, took the head of the group of "Friends of the Syrian people."
